The doctors are finding some, in their words, "predictable" results of Nick being on so many meds for so long. His heart is very tired, so they're monitoring that closely. And his kidneys are operating at 20%. So he'll have dialysis at least twice a week for a while...

Nick- The Brinkerhoff's in Sacramento are all thinking about you and wanted to let you know how proud of you that we are that you continue to fight and beat the odds. Kaely has been keeping up with all the updates and new information because she is really the only one who understands it all and can explain it to us (due to being in nursing school at the University of Arizona). We wish Dwight and Lisa and the family the best and let them know that we are here for them. Thank you so much to the person who organized this website, it is a great way to keep everyone updated, and will be wonderful for Nick to see in the future to see how many people were thinking of him and loved him during a time of need. Again, we wish the best, and thank you for keeping us updated.
